Ever since the creation of the world his eternal power and divine nature, invisible though they are, have been understood and seen through the things he has made.

The Labrador Provincial Bird

The Black Fly - deadly, as it seems to eat people in the summer. what is perplexing is some can ignore this man-eater, but others it will devour in minutes. Their bite turns into a huge welt, and incredibly itchy. I was sitting in the car, when I looked out to see all these flies buzzing around, ready to strike, seeing me through the glass window! George was trying to talk to me (from outside the car) and told me to get out so I could hear him, but I couldn't - wouldn't, as the little guys were hungry waiting for dinner.... me! But don't let this deter you from visiting, as Deep Woods, misquito netting clothes, and staying indoors keeps your skin bump-free. (-;

THANKFULLY...WINTER HAS ARRIVED!

For these people, the winter is THE weather season most look to for adventure, peace, abundance, and solitude in life. It is the time for anticipated hunting excursions of caribou, partridge, & small game. The deafening silence on the land helps to touch base with their roots from generations before. The wealth of fresh game finds its way immediately to the table. And the aloneness each welcome in the woods brings a welcomed time for reflection and thankfulness.

Today you could easily hear the sound of skidoos in Happy Valley Goose Bay, signaling a happiness and almost a 'sigh of excited anticipated relief.' Winter has been very slow in coming to the valley this year - and they're expecting a very short one as well. But for now, the happy whine of the skidoo is here again, and winter brings new life to this community!
